Los Blancos are having a difficult campaign and Isco’s relationship with Santiago Solari is becoming increasingly fraught. The talented midfielder is yet to start a league game under Solari’s stewardship despite their erratic form in La Liga. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, writing for Calciomercato, says Juventus are monitoring the situation closely, along with Manchester City. It’s suggested the situation is now at a tipping point and either Isco goes or Solari does. United had a similar predicament - but it was Jose Mourinho who ended up packing his bags. If a friendly face ends up in the Real hot seat Isco could stay put. However, if the status quo remains, Isco could be Manchester or Turin bound. Former Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red reckons Isco must up the ante if he wants to force himself into first-team contention. “Real Madrid is a club that does not wait for anyone,” he told AS. “Every player in the squad is good enough to take your place and so whoever isn't performing to the required level will be left behind.” Isco, impassioned by De la Red’s comments, took to Twitter. “I completely agree with De la Red, but when you are not getting the same opportunities as your team-mates, that changes things…” Isco wrote. “Despite that, I'm continuing to work hard and battling for the moment when those opportunities arrive! Hala Madrid!!" Manchester City are well stocked with creative attackers but Pep Guardiola is a long-term admirer of Isco. City host Chelsea at the Etihad tomorrow [4pm] as the look to close the gap on Liverpool. Speaking ahead of the clash, Guardiola told reporters he expects a tough match. "As a spectator I try to figure out what the managers wants to do and if it works,” he said. “I see Chelsea and I can understand what they want to do and they do it. "Maybe for other people they don't know exactly what they want to do, but when you see the team, the players they have, the squad they have, the best strikers in the world, the best midfielders in the world, a good 'keeper, experienced defenders, good organisation. "I have a lot of respect, the game tomorrow is a final for us and we have to play in that way."
