Argentine forward Mauro Icardi is almost certain to depart the Serie A team Inter Milan this coming window after the rift between club hierarchy saw his captaincy stripped off him and side-lined for few games. The Red Devils pondering on a transfer for the Argentina international striker if reports from Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport is to be trusted. Icardi, 26, is presently in a serious dispute with his team regarding negative remarks made by his wife and representative Wanda Nara for the past few weeks. The forward opted to support his agent rather than disassociate himself from his wife’s remarks, often posted on her personal Instagram page, and that should see the striker’s future in another club. The forward has shown in three different seasons in the Serie A that he’s a 20-plus goal per season striker and there will be no less of interest for him. Norwegian boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would take a lot of convincing to take up an opportunity to work along with the striker. The South American forward is also linked with summer moves to Serie A champions Juventus and La Liga heavyweight Real Madrid, but it looks like the Red Devils have joined the race for the striker’s signature. If his current Serie A club want to get rid of their key player, which is very much possible after such rift, potential negotiations may become easier. According to The Daily Mail, the Nerazzurri will welcome offers of about £68million for the striker in summer window. Related Matt 02
